Arts Projects

BKIT aims to set up a series of arts projects in order to develop young people’s creative and communicative skills, especially focusing on the environment they live in.

Photography

One of our original ideas was to use photography ro enable children to identify and cultivate their talents. Thus in 2008, Debbie Quargnolo, a trustee of the Buwan Kothi International Trust, travelled over from the UK and worked on a photography project with a group of pupils from the Gilly Mundy Memorial Community School in Haryana, India.

Each child was taught how to use a digital camera and then asked to take their own pictures of their homes, their school and their community. The following YouTube presentation shows some of their results:
