The Buwan Kothi Challenge 2011

Buwan Kothi Challenge 2011

Since the first Buwan Kothi Challenge bike ride in 2007, cyclists have helped to raise £50,000 for the Buwan Kothi International Trust (BKIT). These funds represent a major part of the total grants of £134,675 made by BKIT to date, which have helped build the Gilly Mundy Memorial Community School in Haryana in northern India.

On Sunday 17 July 2011, we are holding the fifth Buwan Kothi Challenge and again it will involve a charity ride through 33 miles of beautiful Warwickshire countryside. This year, we aim to raise £5000.

For those who are less experienced cyclists (and are not sure they can complete the full distance), there is also a 'beginners' ride, which covers 10 miles in a round-trip from Leamington to Hunningham.

STEP 2 - Start Fundraising

To help us to keep our administration costs to a minimum, click on the button below to set up an online funraising page with Virgin Money Giving. Raising sponsorship in this way means we are able to automatically collect Gift Aid from the people who sponsor you and because Virgin Money Giving is 100% not-for-profit, we do not have to pay excessive fees.

If you are collecting sponsors at work or from friends directly, a sponsorship form is also available in PDF format [BKIT Challenge PDF Sponsorship Form PDF, 56 kB]

STEP 3 - Promote the Buwan Kothi Challenge

Let your friends and family know that you are taking part in this year's ride - and ask them to sponsor you. Encourage others to sign up too and to come along on Sunday 17th July to help out.

Don't forget to sign up to the Buwan Kothi Challenge Facebook page or follow us on Twitter
